We had so much fun on their engagement shoot, I was really looking forward to Wendy and Davids wedding. When the big day came around the weather behaved brilliantly, it rained whenever we were indoors and once we stepped outside, the sun came out too. Cabra Castle as per usual was great, both the venue and the staff are really wonderful.

The blog has been quiet lately as I’ve been very busy getting ready for my own honeymoon. Myself and Alicen decided we wanted a honeymoon with a difference. After about a year searching we decided to head away to Africa for a month with a group called Camara. Camara take old computers that are being thrown out and they refurbish them, ship them to Africa and install them in schools. We are part of a team of 18 people heading to Lesotho to teach the teachers not just how to use the computers but also how to maintain and repair them, teach a man to fish etc. Camara are sending teams out to 7 countries this year which in itself is quite a feat considering the charity is only up and running 4 years.
After our month in Lesotho we are taking a holiday touring South Africa and Namibia :) we’ll be back in September.
In the meantime I hope to get to a computer once a week or so to keep you all updated.
You can find more information about Camara here and before I go I’ll leave you with an image that will haunt you, it’s me in a wedding dress at the Flora Mini Marathon fundraising for Camara :) 2009_06_01-flora_159

Naomi and Oisin had their wedding reception in Lough Cutra Castle on the Galway / Clare border. To say that lough Cutra is Unique is an understatement as it’s not normally open to the public. You can have your wedding here but they only take a limited number of bookings and you have to organise your own catering etc. Was all the hard work worth it? Asolutely, just look at the images below and you’ll see that they had a great time and a fabulous wedding.
